Plan to participate in the events of Rally Day weekend!  On Sunday, the 10th, Sunday school starts at 9:00 a.m. and worship moves to 10:00 a.m. starting time.

This year on Rally Day, Ascension will join ELCA congregations across the country participating in "God’s Work, Our Hands Day" by doing a service project in our community.  PeopleCare has provided a list of a dozen or so local elders who do not have enough food.  After church, we will prepare food baskets, including donated fresh and non-perishable food, and deliver them to these food-insecure neighbors.  Please help by donating food items and assisting with packing and delivering. (And wear your yellow "God’s Work, Our Hands" t-shirt if you have one!)

Fundraising to resettle another family began in January 2017 with individual donations and a Jan. 21 community dinner co-hosted with Riverside Presbyterian. The link below will take you to an online donation site established for our Riverside Refugee Resettlement Project through RefugeeOne, the Chicago organization we work with for resettlement efforts.

Please share this link with your family and friends so we can meet our financial goal of $8,000. We plan to resettle another family between mid-March and mid-April 2017.  We are also gathering household items for the family - please check the list near the front door of the sanctuary to see what else is needed. Thank you!
