We seek to be an inviting congregation by offering events and activities that open our doors to community members.
These events range from our annual perennial plant sale to occasional concerts or recitals to various fundraising dinners that support not only Ascension but also a variety of charitable projects.
- Build Your Own Taco Dinner
- “Mardi Gras” potluck dinner
- Perennial Plant Sale (first Saturday after Mother’s Day)
- Spaghetti Dinner to support youth activities
- Wine and Beer Tasting Parties
- Fourth of July Brat Stand
- Rummage Sale (weekend after Labor Day)
- Excursions to Millennium Park or Ravinia
- Oktoberfest
- Christmas Potluck
- Knitwits (group for knitting enthusiasts)
- Scrapbooking Group (first Friday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)
- “TIME OUT” group (events for retired folks and senior citizens)
- Moms' Group (a weekly gathering of community moms every Friday, 10:00-11:30 a.m. Babysitting provided.)
